January Blues

January Blue. Raincloud over the word "January"

We have finally arrived in the year 2022. How does everyone feel about entering the new year? From my point of view, 2021 has gone by like a flash of speed. However, there may have been great, happy moments. On the other hand, I think last year has been extremely stressful and everyone has been going through a lot.

This year may start off difficult and there may be many things to process and handle. Although everyone has been in the dark for way too long. It’s time to walk into the light, and just know great things are going to happen eventually.

Emotional Rollercoaster in The New Year

Everyone has different feelings towards the new year. Some people would feel positive and think ‘good things are going to happen, and this year will be different.’ And there are others who would feel down and anxious.

People may suffer from mental health issues like, stress, anxiety, or depression. But every January people tend to feel depressed, because of variety of things they need to face or manage.

No matter what you’re going through and if you’re struggling, you are not alone. If you need help and guidance, talk to someone about your issues. It is best to handle the situation with someone by your side. Think of it as your own bright light. They are going to guide you to the light, be with you every step of the way, and gradually you will get through it.

Financially Unstable

Every start of the year, people have completely ran out of money. And this all comes down to Christmas, and birthdays. A lot of birthdays happen around in December, as well as in the summer. Everyone works hard at their workplace and splurge their wage to purchase Christmas or birthday presents for their family, children, friends, and loved ones. They would want to keep the people they love joyful, as they feel the same way by others.

Coin with a sad face, worried about financial issues.

However, in the new year season people may suffer from a form of anxiety disorder, also known as depression. Most people would feel depressed and may panic because of either the overdraft, might be penniless, or a lot of debts to pay off. For instance, some people use the Klarna or Clear-pay app. Once they have purchased an item, they would pay 30 days later or pay 3 instalments per month. Yes, that sounds like a struggle, and may be difficult to pay off.

But don’t you worry. There are many ways of getting through it and eventually you will. You could even ask someone close to you for help.

COVID-19 And Omicron Variant Update

COVID-19 is ongoing and is still affecting a lot of people, but not as bad as last year. There is also the Omicron virus spreading out. The Omicron variant has been affecting around few people, yet it has been said it’s harmless. All hospitals in the UK are running as normal, unlike last year when it was shut down and only focusing on the coronavirus.

All of us are still wondering if there will ever be a lockdown. At this point, Boris Johnson is getting updated himself; to see if the Omicron variant will peak and check out the statistics of cases and deaths. At the moment, things have been slowing down. But, if there’s an increase of cases and it gets worse, we shall hear from Boris soon.
